And also quite interesting, he has released in 2024 AYM JS which is a sound chip emulator written in JavaScript emulating the AY-3-8910 PSG (Programmable Sound Generator) and the YM2149 SSG (Software-Controlled Sound Generator). You can test AYM JS here (press the Power button and the Play button). At the moment YM files must be converted to javascript (but the conversion tool isn't available yet), but direct support of YM files is on the way.

Ian Scott has released a new firmware v4.1.1 for his ISA card PicoGUS which supports the sound card Gravis Ultra Sound and much more including recently the Sound Blaster 16. This version also corrects an old bug : playmidi.exe now works in GUS mode.

You will find on Tronic's web site (GPA) various utilities for use on or for the Amstrad CPC, several about YM music but also GPArt Studio v1.3 which can converts and modify Amstrad CPC screens.

E-dredon has published several music songs for Amstrad CPC on his Soundcloud account lately.

But I am sad to announce that in the end of this year 2025 (seen on discord), it's also an end for his life as he died for health reasons on the 27th December. Wherever he is today, I hope he still write music or any other thing he enjoyed.

Ayane by Madram is an Amstrad CPC utility to read musical files. It's not a final version, but a WIP version to let you know the features of Ayane that you can donwload on Pouet, and also listen to with a Youtube video of Ayane.

Ian Scott did create the PicoGUS card emulating the Gravis Ultra Sound sound card (you can buy a PicoGUS in Europe at Serdashop).

He has announced today the future availability of the PicoIDE which features ATAPI optical disc emulation and IDE hard drive emulation. A new card next to the PicoMEM card by Freddy Vetele (the PicoMEM can be bought too at Serdashop).

Even for PC XT (and up), it can be interesting to use SCSI emulation as it exists SCSCI controllers for PC XT : BlueSCSI v2, ZuluSCSI, PiSCSCI.

Usually Tollis is making musical remakes of Amstrad CPC games, but this time is a musical remake of the Amstrad CPC demo Phortem by Condense in 2013, a nice remake.
